Jonathan Martinez traded to Cubs

Jonathan Martinez was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Chicago Cubs on July 30, 2014 to complete the earlier Darwin Barney deal. RHP Martinez was at Class A Great Lakes where he was 7-5, 3.47 ERA, 91 K, 1.21 WHIP in 106.1 IP over 19 games in 2014. He originally signed with the Dodgers in 2011 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Martinez turned 20 on June 27.
