Chris Capuano traded to Yankees
Chris Capuano was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the New York Yankees on July 24, 2014 for cash. The LHP started the season with the Red Sox and was 1-1, 4.55 ERA, 29 K, 1.55 WHIP in 31.2 IP over 28 games before being released. He then signed with the Rockies and split his time before the trade between Double A Tulsa and Triple A Colorado Springs. He was 0-0, 1.93 ERA, 7 K, 1.29 WHIP in 4.2 IP in 1 game at Tulsa and 1-0, 3.07 ERA, 14 K, 1.02 WHIP in 14.2 IP over 3 games at Colorado Springs. He has ten seasons MLB experience between the Red Sox, Dodgers, Mets, Brewers and Diamondbacks as he is 74-84, 4.28 ERA, 1079 K, 1.34 WHIP in 1299.1 IP over 266 games. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the eighth round in 1999. Capuano will be 36 on August 19.
