Nick Maronde traded to Indians
Nick Maronde was traded by the Los Angeles Angels to the Cleveland Indians on July 12, 2014 for a player to the name later. Prior to the trade the LHP split 2014 between Rookie Arizona, Double A Arkansas, Triple A Salt Lake and the Angels. He was 0-0, 4.50 ERA, 2 K, 2.00 WHIP in 2.0 IP over 2 games at Arizona, 0-0, 13.50 ERA, 10 K, 2.86 WHIP, 1 SV in 7.1 IP over 7 games at Arkansas, 0-0, 9.35 ERA, 12 K, 3.00 WHIP in 8.2 IP over 9 games at Salt Lake and 0-0, 12.79 ERA, 7 K, 3.00 WHIP in 6.1 IP over 11 games with the Angels. For his three season MLB career with the Angels he was 0-0, 7.13 ERA, 19 K, 2.26 WHIP in 17.2 IP over 33 games. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the third round in 2011. Maronde will be 25 on September 5th.
