Deck McGuire traded to Athletics

Deck McGuire was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Oakland Athletics on July 25, 2014 for cash. Prior to the trade the RHP split 2014 between Double A New Hampshire and Triple A Buffalo as he was 3-4, 2.98 ERA, 47 K, 1.24 WHIP in 60.1 IP over 10 games at New Hampshire and 3-5, 5.56 ERA, 38 K, 1.46 WHIP in 55.0 IP over 10 games at Buffalo. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays with the 11th pick of the first round in 2010. McGuire turned 25 on June 23.
