Blake Taylor traded to Mets
Blake Taylor was traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the New York Mets on June 15, 2014 to complete the earlier Ike Davis deal. The LHP split 2014 prior to the trade between Rookie Gulf Coast and Rookie Kingsport. He was 2-0, 0.00 ERA, 10 K, 0.75 WHIP in 10.2 IP in 3 games at Gulf Coast and 0-0, 15.43 ERA, 4 K, 3.43 WHIP in 2.1 IP in 1 game at Kingsport. He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the second round in 2013. Taylor will be 19 on August 17.
