Matt Tuiasosopo was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Chicago White Sox on June 12, 2014 in exchange for cash. He is an OF\1B who played at Triple A Buffalo prior to the trade and hit .206/.289/.271 with 2 HR, 18 RBI, 17 R, 1 SB in 59 games. He has four seasons MLB experience with the Tigers and Mariners as he hit .207/.290/.356 with 12 HR, 45 RBI, 41 R, 0 SB in 152 games. He was originally drafted by the Mariners in the third round in 2004. Tuiasosopo turned 28 on May 10.
