2014 NL All Star Starters

Here are the National League starters for the 2014 All Star as voted by the fans:

Jonathan Lucroy of the Milwaukee Brewers was selected at catcher. Prior to the All Star break he hit .315/.385/.494 with 9 HR, 44 RBI, 45 R, 3 SB in 88 games. For his five season MLB career he is hitting .286/.341/.438 with 55 HR, 269 RBI, 219 R, 22 SB in 542 games. This is his first All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the third round in 2007.

Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks was selected at first base. Prior to the All Star break he hit .308/.400/.549 with 16 HR, 61 RBI, 66 R, 8 SB in 95 games. For his four season MLB career he has hit .293/.381/.524 with 80 HR, 294 RBI, 279 R, 45 SB in 448 games. This is his second All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the eighth round in 2009.

Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies was selected at second base. Prior to the All Star break he hit .293/.349/.445 with 8 HR, 46 RBI, 51 R, 4 SB in 91 games. For his 12 season MLB career he is hitting .288/.372/.494 with 225 HR, 854 RBI, 903 R, 133 SB in 1414 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies with the 15th pick of the first round in 2000.

Aramis Ramirez of the Milwaukee Brewers was selected at third base. Prior to the All Star break he hit .288/.336/.459 with 11 HR, 43 RBI, 31 R, 3 SB in 70 games. For his 17 season MLB career he is hitting .285/.344/.500 with 365 HR, 1319 RBI, 1039 R, 28 SB in 1994 games. This is his third All Star selection. He originally signed with the Pirates in 1994 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic.

Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies was selected at shortstop. Prior to the All Star break he hit .345/.435/.613 with 21 HR, 52 RBI, 71 R, 1 SB in 89 games. For his nine season MLB career he is hitting .299/.374/.518 with 176 HR, 604 RBI, 614 R, 55 SB in 959 games. This is his fourth All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Rockies with the seventh pick of the first round in 2005.

Carlos Gomez of the Milwaukee Brewers was selected in the outfield. Prior to the All Star break he hit .304/.370/.510 with 14 HR, 48 RBI, 58 R, 17 SB in 87 games. For his eight season MLB career he is hitting .261/.312/.419 with 82 HR, 319 RBI, 429 R, 187 SB in 910 games. This is his second All Star selection. He originally signed with the Mets in 2002 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic.

Andrew McCutchen of the Pittsburg Pirates was selected in the outfield. Prior to the All Star break he hit .324/.420/.575 with 17 HR, 61 RBI, 57 R, 15 SB in 93 games. For his six season MLB career he is hitting .299/.385/.499 with 120 HR, 440 RBI, 516 R, 140 SB in 827 games. This is his fourth All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Pirates with the 11th pick of the first round in 2005.

Yasiel Puig of the Los Angeles Dodgers was selected in the outfield. Prior to the All Star break he hit .309/.393/.522 with 12 HR, 52 RBI, 53 R, 7 SB in 90 games. For his two season MLB career he is hitting .314/.392/.528 with 31 HR, 94 RBI, 119 R, 18 SB in 194 games. This is his first All Star selection. He originally signed with the Dodgers in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of Cuba.

Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins was selected in the outfield. Prior to the All Star break he hit .295/.395/.538 with 21 HR, 63 RBI, 61 R, 8 SB in 94 games. For his five season MLB career he is hitting .270/.361/.536 with 138 HR, 357 RBI, 322 R, 25 SB in 583 games. This is his second All Star selection. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the second round in 2007.
