Tom Glavine was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2014 along with Bobby Cox, Tony La Russa, Greg Maddux, Frank Thomas and Joe Torre. Glavine was a LHP with 22 seasons MLB experience playing with the Atlanta Braves (1987-2002, 2008) and New York Mets (2003-2007). For his MLB career he was 305-203, 3.54 ERA, 2607 K, 1.31 WHIP, 56 complete games, 25 shut outs in 4413.1 IP over 682 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1991 when he was 20-11, 2.55 ERA, 192 K, 1.10 WHIP, 9 complete games, 1 shut out in 246.2 IP over 34 games, 1992 when he was 20-8, 2.76 ERA, 129 K, 1.19 WHIP, 7 complete games, 5 shut outs in 225.0 IP over 33 games and 1998 when he was 20-6, 2.47 ERA, 157 K, 1.20 WHIP, 4 complete games, 3 shut outs in 229.1 IP over 33 games.
Glavine led the National League in wins in 1991, 1992, 1992 (22), 1998 and 2000 (21). He led the NL in complete games in 1991 and in shut outs in 1992.
He was an All-Star ten times (1991-1993, 1996-1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006). Glavine won the National League Cy Young in 1991 and 1998. He also finished second in NL Cy Young voting in 1992 and 2000 and finished third in 1993 and 1995. Glavine won the World Series Championship with the Braves in 1995.
