2014 AL All Star Pitchers

Here are the American League pitchers for the 2014 All Star game:

RHP Dellin Betances of the New Yrok Yankees is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 4-0, 1.46 ERA, 84 K, 0.71 WHIP, 1 SV in 55.1 IP over 40 games. For his three season MLB career he is 4-0, 2.43 ERA, 96 K, 0.91 WHIP, 1 SV in 63.0 IP over 48 games. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the eighth round in 2006.

LHP Mark Buehrle of the Toronto Blue Jays is in his fifth All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 10-6, 2.64 ERA, 73 K, 1.27 WHIP in 126.1 IP over 19 games. For his 15 season MLB career he is 196-148, 3.79 ERA, 1733 K, 1.28 WHIP in 3009.0 IP over 473 games. He was originally drafted by the White Sox in the 38th round in 1998.

RHP Yu Darvish of the Texas Rangers is in his third All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 8-5, 2.97 ERA, 142 K, 1.21 WHIP in 115.1 IP over 17 games. For his three season MLB career he is 37-23, 3.26 ERA, 640 K, 1.18 WHIP in 516.1 IP over 78 games. The Rangers purchased his contract from the Nippon Ham Fighters of Japan in 2012.

LHP Sean Doolittle of the Oakland Athletics is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 1-3, 2.89 ERA, 63 K, 0.66 WHIP, 14 SV in 43.2 IP over 42 games. RHP Koji Uehara of the Boston Red Sox is in his first All Star game. Prior to the All Star break he was 5-2, 1.65 ERA, 57 K, 0.76 WHIP, 18 SV in 43.2 IP over 42 games. For his six season MLB career he is 14-12, 2.32 ERA, 389 K, 0.82 WHIP, 53 SV in 329.2 IP over 272 games. He originally signed with the Orioles in 2009 as a free agent out of Japan.
