Ronny Cedeno was traded by the Philadelphia Phillies to the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 29, 2014. In exchange the Phillies received Raywilly Gomez.
Cedeno is a SS\2B who prior to the trade split 2014 between Triple A Lehigh Valley and the Phillies. He originally signed with the Cubs in 1999 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Cedeno turned 31 on February 2nd.
Gomez is a C\3B who was a Double A Mobile prior to the trade where he hit .273/.355/.360 with 3 HR, 22 RBI, 16 R, 0 SB in 55 games. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks in 2007 as a non-drafted free agent. Gomez turned 24 on January 25.
