Justin Marks traded to Athletics

Justin Marks was traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Oakland Athletics on June 6, 2014 in exchange for cash. The LHP split 2014 prior to the trade between Triple A Omaha and the Royals as he was 3-2, 5.64 ERA, 27 K, 1.62 WHIP in 30.1 IP over 13 games at Omaha and 0-0, 13.50 ERA, 2 K, 3.50 WHIP in 2.0 IP in 1 game with the Royals. He was originally drafted by the Athletics in the third round in 2009 and traded to the Royals in 2010. Marks turned 26 on January 12.
