This is the 15th segment of 2014 as I continue to follow Bubba Starling and Fred Ford as they make their way up the minor league ranks of the Kansas City Royals. Starling starts off 2014 at Class A Advanced Wilmington as the Red Rocks were 33-35 in the first half and are 18-16 in the second half. Ford is repeating time at Class A Lexington as the Legends finished the first half 29-41 and are 12-23 in the second half.
Bubba easily had his best week of the season with three multi hit games as he went 11 for 26 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 5 R, 2 SB in 5 games. For the season he is hitting .224/.303/.356 with 8 HR, 48 RBI, 55 R, 13 SB in 98 games.
Fred continues to struggle mightily as he hit 2 for 14 with 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 5 games. For the season he is hitting .206/.296/.354 with 8 HR, 40 RBI, 41 R, 8 SB in 93 games.
