Drew Smith traded to Rays

Drew Smith was traded by the Detroit Tigers to the Tampa Bay Rays on April 28, 2017 to complete an earlier deal for Mikie Mahtook. RHP Smith was 1-0, 0.77 ERA, 12 K, 0.69 WHIP, .108 BAA in 11.2 IP over 7 games at Class A Advanced Lakeland in 2017. He was originally drafted by the Tigers in the third round in 2015. Smith turned 23 on September 24.

David Hernandez was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Los Angeles Angels on April 24, 2017 for a PTBNL or cash.
