Ty Kelly traded to Phillies
Ty Kelly was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Philadelphia Phillies on April 22, 2017 for cash. The Blue Jays had claimed the third baseman off waivers from the Mets. He hit 2 for 8, .250/.333/.375 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 2 games at Triple A Buffalo and 0 for 1 in 1 game with the Mets in 2017. In 2016 he hit 89 for 271, .328/.409/.435 with 2 HR, 35 RBI, 45 R, 5 SB in 81 games at Triple A Las Vegas and 14 for 58, .241/.352/.345 with 1 HR, 7 RBI, R, 0 SB in 39 games with the Mets. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the 13th round in 2009. Kelly will be 29 on July 20.
