Brendon Allen of the Eastern Illinois Panthers and Dalton Westfall of the UT Martin Skyhawks were selected the Ohio Valley Conference baseball co-pitchers of the week for the period that spanned April 17, 2017 through April 23, 2017.
Senior RHP Allen picked up the win in a 16-5 victory over Eastern Kentucky with a pitching line of 7.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 3 BB and 12 K. This season he is 1-6, 8.38 ERA, 45 K, 1.94 WHIP, .329 BAA in 38.2 IP over 13 games with 8 GS. The Panthers are 14-28.
Junior RHP Westfall picked up the win in a 3-1 victory over SIU Edwardsville with a pitching line of 8.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 0 HBP, 4 BB and 11 K. This season he is 4-4, 4.91 ERA, 68 K, 1.64 WHIP, .257 BAA in 58.2 IP over 10 GS. The Skyhawks are 30-9.
