This is the 12th segment of 2014 as I continue to follow Bubba Starling and Fred Ford as they make their way up the minor league ranks of the Kansas City Royals. Starling starts off 2014 at Class A Advanced Wilmington as the Red Rocks were 33-35 in the first half and are 8-8 in the second half. Ford is repeating time at Class A Lexington as the Legends finished the first half 29-41 and are 5-12 in the second half.
This week Bubba was 4 for 18 with 1 HR, 3 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB in 5 games. For the season he is hitting .204/.291/.332 with 6 HR, 38 RBI, 47 R, 10 SB in 80 games.
Fred had a similar week as he hit 3 for 18 with 2 doubles, 0 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 6 games. For the season he is hitting .216/.307/.375 with 7 HR, 37 RBI, 34 R, 8 SB in 77 games.
