Yency Almonte traded to White Sox

Yency Almonte was traded by the Los Angeles Angels to the Chicago White Sox on February 4, 2015 to complete the earlier Gordon Beckham deal. RHP Almonte split 2014 between Rookie Arizona and Class A Burlington. He was 0-1, 17.18 ERA, 5 K, 2.18 WHIP, .467 BAA in 3.2 IP over 2 games at Arizona and 2-5, 4.93 ERA, 32 K, 1.29 WHIP, .252 BAA in 42.0 IP over 9 games at Burlington. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the 17th round in 2012. Almonte will be 21 on June 4.
