Arquimedes Caminero traded to Pirates

Arquimedes Caminero was traded by the Miami Marlins to the Pittsburgh Pirates on February 4, 2015 for cash. RHP Caminero split 2014 between Triple A New Orleans and the Marlins. He was 4-1, 4.86 ERA, 79 K, 1.59 WHIP, .276 BAA, 10 SV in 63.0 IP over 42 games at New Orleans and 0-1, 10.80 ERA, 8 K, 1.80 WHIP, .296 BAA in 6.2 IP over 6 games with the Marlins. Over two MLB seasons with the Marlins he was 0-1, 5.49 ERA, 20 K, 1.27 WHIP, .240 BAA in 19.2 IP over 19 games. He originally signed with the Marlins in 2005 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Caminero will be 28 on June 16.
