Ike Davis traded to Athletics

Ike Davis was traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Oakland Athletics on November 23, 2014 for cash. The first baseman split 2014 between the Mets and Pirates as he hit .208/.367/.375 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB in 12 games with the Mets, was traded on April 18 and hit .235/.343/.378 with 10 HR, 46 RBI, 39 R, 0 SB in 131 games with the Pirates. Over five MLB seasons with the Pirates and Mets he hit .240/.336/.423 with 78 HR, 270 RBI, 239 R, 7 SB in 585 games. He was originally drafted by the Mets with the 18th pick of the first round in 2008. Davis will be 28 on March 22.
