Brandon Moss traded to Indians

Brandon Moss was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Cleveland Indians on December 8, 2014. In exchange the Athletics received Joe Wendle.

Moss is an OF\1B who in 2014 hit .234/.334/.438 with 25 HR, 81 RBI, 70 R, 1 SB in 147 games with the Athletics. Over eight MLB seasons with the Athletics, Phillies, Pirates and Red Sox he has hit .248/.326/.460 with 91 HR, 298 RBI, 265 R, 8 SB in 625 games. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the eighth round in 2002 and traded to the Pirates in 2008. Moss will be 32 on September 16.

Wendle is a 2B\3B who split 2014 between Rookie Arizona and Double A Akron as he hit .455/.538/.591 with 0 HR, 4 RBI, 8 R, 1 SB in 6 games at Arizona and .253/.311/.414 with 8 HR, 50 RBI, 46 R, 4 SB in 87 games at Akron. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the sixth round in 2012. Wendle will be 25 on April 26.
