Preston Guilmet traded to Pirates

Preston Guilmet was traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the Pittsburgh Pirates on October 3, 2014 in exchange for cash. The RHP split 2014 between Triple A Norfolk and the Orioles as he was 4-2, 3.91 ERA, 54 K, 1.08 WHIP, .227 BAA, 10 SV in 48.1 IP over 40 games at Norfolk and 0-1, 5.23 ERA, 12 K, 0.97 WHIP, .200 BAA in 10.1 IP over 10 games with the Orioles. Over two MLB seasons with the Orioles and Indians he is 0-1, 6.89 ERA, 13 K, 1.34 WHIP, .246 BAA in 15.2 IP over 14 games. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the ninth round in 2009. Guilmet will be 28 on July 27.
