Dan Jennings traded to White Sox

Dan Jennings was traded by the Miami Marlins to the Chicago White Sox on December 11, 2014. In exchange the Marlins received Andre Rienzo.

LHP Jennings split 2014 between Rookie Gulf Coast, Class A Advanced Jupiter and Triple A New Orleans while rehabbing and with the Marlins. He was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 K, 1.00 WHIP, .000 BAA in 1.0 IP in 1 game at Gulf Coast, 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 8 K, 0.50 WHIP, .136 BAA in 6.0 IP over 3 games at Jupiter, 0-0, 3.38 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, .207 BAA in 8.0 IP over 6 games at New Orleans and 0-2, 1.34 ERA, 38 K, 1.54 WHIP, .281 BAA in 40.1 IP over 47 games with the Marlins. Over three MLB seasons with the Marlins he was 3-6, 2.43 ERA, 84 K, 1.46 WHIP, .264 BAA in 100.0 IP over 116 games. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the ninth round in 2008. Jennings will be 28 on April 17.

RHP Rienzo split 2014 between Triple A Charlotte and the White Sox. He was 1-4, 4.05 ERA, 43 K, 1.46 WHIP, .242 BAA in 46.2 IP over 10 games at Charlotte and 4-5, 6.82 ERA, 51 K, 1.78 WHIP, .304 BAA in 64.2 IP over 18 games with the White Sox. Over two MLB seasons with the White Sox he was 6-8, 5.89 ERA, 89 K, 1.64 WHIP, .281 BAA in 120.2 IP over 28 games. He originally signed with the White Sox in 2006 as an amateur free agent out of Brazil. Rienzo will be 27 on July 5th.
