Shawn Zarraga traded to Dodgers

Shawn Zarraga was traded by the Milwaukee Brewers to the Los Angeles Dodgers on December 18, 2014. In exchange the Brewers received Jarret Martin and Matt Long.

Zarraga is a catcher who split 2014 between Double A Huntsville and Triple A Nashville. He hit .330/.440/.419 with 1 HR, 30 RBI, 34 R, 1 SB in 75 games at Huntsville and .213/.304/.255 with 0 HR, 7 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 17 games at Nashville. His caught stealing rate was 34%. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the 44th round in 2007. Zarraga turned 26 on January 21.

LHP Martin pitched in 2014 at Double A Chattanooga where he was 1-1, 3.29 ERA, 64 K, 1.50 WHIP, .182 BAA, 7 SV in 54.2 IP over 46 games. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the 18th round in 2009 and traded to the Dodgers in 2011. Martin will be 26 on August 14.

OF\2B Long had been traded to the Dodgers earlier in the day.
