Dana Eveland traded to Orioles

Dana Eveland was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Baltimore Orioles on December 8, 2011. In exchange the Dodgers receive minor league players Jarret Martin and Tyler Henson.


LHP Eveland has played seven seasons for the Dodgers, Pirates, Blue Jays, Athletics, Diamondbacks and Brewers. In 2011 he was 3-2 with a 3.03 ERA, 16 strikeouts and 1.15 WHIP in 29.2 innings over five games. For his career he is 19-24 with a 5.52 ERA, 238 strikeouts, 1.69 WHIP and one save in 360.1 innings over 100 games. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the 16th round in 2002.


LHP Martin played at the Class A level of the minors in 2011. He was 5-12 with a 4.96 ERA, 65 strikeouts, 1.55 WHIP and one save in 110.2 innings over 31 games. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the 18th round in 2009.


Henson is an outfielder who played at the Triple A level in 2011. He hit .247/.313/.321 with three home runs, 36 RBI, 55 runs and 9 steals in 123 games. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the fifth round in 2006.
