Arodys Vizcaino traded to Braves

Arodys Vizcaino was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Atlanta Braves on November 16, 2014. In exchange the Cubs received Tommy La Stella.

RHP Vizcaino split 2014 between Class A Advanced Daytona, Double A Tennessee, Triple A Iowa and the Cubs. He was 0-0, 1.00 ERA, 10 K, 1.11 WHIP, .194 BAA, 1 SV in 9.0 IP over 9 games at Daytona, 1-1, 2.63 ERA, 16 K, 0.73 WHIP, .149 BAA, 1 SV in 13.2 IP over 14 games at Tennessee, 0-0, 5.40 ERA, 16 K, 1.96 WHIP, .325 BAA in 18.1 IP over 17 games at Iowa and 0-0, 5.40 ERA, 4 K, 1.60 WHIP, .263 BAA in 5.0 IP over 5 games with the Cubs. Over two MLB seasons with the Cubs and Braves he was 1-1, 4.84 ERA, 21 K, 1.48 WHIP, .244 BAA in 22.1 IP over 22 games. He originally signed with the Yankees in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Vizcaino turned 24 on November 13. 

La Stella is a second baseman who split 2014 between Triple A Gwinnett and the Braves as he hit .293/.384/.359 with 1 HR, 23 RBI, 18 R, 1 SB in 47 games at Gwinnett and .251/.328/.317 with 1 HR, 31 RBI, 22 R, 2 SB in 93 games with the Braves. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the eighth round in 2011. La Stella turned 26 on January 31.
