Dee Gordon was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Miami Marlins on December 11, 2014 along with Dan Haren, Miguel Rojas and cash. In exchange the Dodgers received Andrew Heaney, Chris Hatcher, Enrique Hernandez and Austin Barnes.
Gordon is a 2B\SS who in 2014 hit .289/.326/.378 with 2 HR, 34 RBI, 92 R, 64 SB in 148 games with the Dodgers. Over four MLB seasons with the Dodgers he hit .272/.314/.345 with 4 HR, 68 RBI, 173 R, 130 SB in 329 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the fourth round in 2008. Gordon will be 27 on April 22.
RHP Haren pitched in 2014 with the Dodgers and was 13-11, 4.02 ERA, 145 K, 1.18 WHIP, .252 BAA in 186.0 IP over 32 games. Over 12 MLB seasons with the Dodgers. Nationals, Angels, Diamondbacks, Athletics and Cardinals he is 142-122, 3.77 ERA, 1881 K, 1.19 WHIP, .254 BAA, 1 SV in 2232.1 IP over 359 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the second round in 2001. Haren will be 35 on September 17.
Rojas is a SS\3B who split 2014 between Triple A Albuquerque and the Dodgers. He hit .302/.353/.434 with 4 HR, 13 RBI, 27 R, 7 SB in 51 games at Albuquerque and .181/.242/.221 with 1 HR, 9 RBI, 16 R, 0 SB in 85 games with the Dodgers. He originally signed with the Reds in 2005 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Rojas will be 26 on February 24.
LHP Heaney split 2014 between Double A Jacksonville, Triple A New Orleans and the Marlins. He was 4-2, 2.35 ERA, 52 K, 1.08 WHIP, .223 BAA in 53.2 IP over 9 games at Jacksonville, 5-4, 3.87 ERA, 91 K, 1.17 WHIP, .234 BAA in 83.2 IP over 15 games at New Orleans and 0-3, 5.83 ERA, 20 K, 1.33 WHIP, .281 BAA in 29.1 IP over 7 games with the Marlins. He was originally drafted by the Marlins with the ninth pick of the first round in 2012. Heaney will be 24 on June 5.
RHP Hatcher split 2014 between Triple A New Orleans and the Marlins. He was 1-2, 2.01 ERA, 25 K, 0.99 WHIP, .200 BAA, 5 SV in 22.1 IP over 15 games at New Orleans and 0-3, 3.38 ERA, 60 K, 1.20 WHIP, .252 BAA in 56.0 IP over 52 games with the Marlins. Over four MLB seasons with the Marlins he was 0-4, 4.82 ERA, 85 K, 1.39 WHIP, .277 BAA in 89.2 IP over 81 games. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the fifth round in 2006. Hatcher turned 30 on January 12.
Hernandez is an OF\SS\2B who split 2014 between Double A Corpus Christi, Triple A Oklahoma City and the Astros before a July trade and Triple A New Orleans and the Marlins after the trade. He hit .325/.372/.475 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 9 R, 0 SB in 10 games at Corpus Christi, .337/.380/.508 with 8 HR, 31 RBI, 41 R, 6 SB in 67 games at Oklahoma City, .284/.348/.420 with 1 HR, 8 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB in 24 games with the Astros, .250/.345/.403 with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 8 R, 0 SB in 21 games at New Orleans and .175/.267/.425 with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 18 games with the Marlins. He was originally drafted by the Astros in the sixth round in 2009 and traded to the Marlins in July 2014. Hernandez will be 24 on August 24.
Barnes is a C\2B\3B who split 2014 between Class A Advanced Jupiter and Double A Jacksonville. He hit .317/.385/.417 with 1 HR, 14 RBI, 24 R, 3 SB in 44 games at Jupiter and .296/.406/.507 with 12 HR, 43 RBI, 56 R, 8 SB in 78 games at Jacksonville. His caught stealing rate was 38%. He was originally drafted in the ninth round in 2011. Barnes turned 25 on December 28.
