Rob Scahill traded to Pirates

Rob Scahill was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Pittsburgh Pirates on November 11, 2014. in exchange the Rockies received Shane Carle.

RHP Scahill split 2014 between Triple A Colorado Springs and the Rockies as he was 2-3, 4.32 ERA, 53 K, 1.32 WHIP, .261 BAA, 2 SV in 58.1 IP over 41 games at Colorado Springs and 1-0, 4.80 ERA, 11 K, 1.73 WHIP, .283 BAA in 15.0 IP over 12 games with the Rockies. Over three MLB seasons with the Rockies he was 2-0, 4.42 ERA, 35 K, 1.49 WHIP, .287 BAA in 57.0 IP over 41 games. He was originally drafted by the Rockies in the eighth round in 2009. Scahill will be 28 on February 15.

RHP Carle split 2014 between Class A West Virginia and Class A Advanced Bradenton as he was 2-5, 3.73 ERA, 47 K, 1.28 WHIP, .293 BAA in 82.0 IP over 17 games at West Virginia and 2-3, 3.60 ERA, 36 K, 1.24 WHIP, .255 BAA in 55.0 IP over 10 games at Bradenton. He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the 10th round in 2013. Carle will be 24 on August 30.
