Joel Peralta was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Novermber 20, 2014 along with Adam Liberatore. In exchange the Rays received. Greg Harris and Jose Dominguez.
RHP Peralta split 2014 between Class A Advanced Charlotte while rehabbing and the Rays. He was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 K, 1.00 WHIP, .250 BAA in 1.0 IP in 1 game at Charlotte and 3-4, 4.41 ERA, 74 K, 1.18 WHIP, .244 BAA, 1 SV in 63.1 IP over 69 games with the Rays. Over ten MLB seasons with the Rays, Nationals, Rockies, Royals and Angels he is 16-33, 3.92 ERA, 555 K, 1.14 WHIP, .230 BAA, 12 SV in 591.2 IP over 556 games. He originally signed with the Athletics in 1996 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Peralta will be 39 on March 23.
LHP Liberatore pitched in 2014 at Triple A Durham where he was 6-1, 1.66 ERA, 86 K, 0.89 WHIP, .187 BAA, 4 SV in 65.0 IP over 54 games. He was originally drafted by the Rays in the 21st round in 2010. Liberatore will be 28 on May 12.
RHP Harris pitched in 2014 at Class A Great Lakes where he was 7-6, 4.45 ERA, 92 K, 1.33 WHIP, .258 BAA in 87.0 IP over 22 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 17th round in 2013. Harris will be 21 on August 17.
RHP Dominguez split 2014 between Rookie Ogden, Triple A Albuquerque and the Dodgers. He was 0-0, 13.50 ERA, 2 K, 1.50 WHIP, .200 BAA in 1.1 IP over 2 games at Ogden, 1-2, 3.24 ERA, 39 K, 1.47 WHIP, .244 BAA, 10 SV in 33.1 IP over 31 games at Albuquerque and 0-0, 11.37 ERA, 8 K, 1.58 WHIP, .269 BA in 6.1 IP over 5 games with the Dodgers. Over two MLB seasons with the Dodgers he was 0-0, 6.14 ERA, 12 K, 1.64 WHIP, .295 BAA in 14.2 IP over 14 games. He originally signed with the Dodgers in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Dominguez will be 25 on August 7th.
