Chris Martin traded to Yankees

Chris Martin was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the New York Yankees on January 13, 2015 for cash. RHP Martin split 2014 between Triple A Colorado Springs and the Rockies. He was 1-3, 4.39 ERA, 36 K, 1.58 WHIP, .308 BAA, 5 SV in 26.2 IP over 25 games at Colorado Springs and 0-0, 6.89 ERA, 14 K, 1.66 WHIP, .338 BAA in 15.2 IP over 16 games with the Rockies. He was originally drafted by the Rockies in the 21st round in 2005 but did not sign and pitched in the Independent Leagues until 2011 when he signed a minor league contract with the Red Sox. He was traded to the Rockies in 2013. Martin will be 29 on July 2nd.
