Ty Kelly was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the St Louis Cardinals on November 20, 2014. In exchange the Mariners received Sam Gaviglio.
Kelly is a 2B\3B\OF who played in 2014 at Triple A Tacoma where he hit .263/.381/.412 with 15 HR, 80 RBI, 81 R, 11 SB in 134 games. He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the 13th round in 2009. Kelly will be 27 on July 20.
RHP Gaviglio pitched in 2014 at Double A Springfield where he was 5-12, 4.29 ERA, 126 K, 1.46 WHIP, .284 BAA in 136.2 IP over 25 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the fifth round in 2011. Gaviglio will be 25 on May 22.
