Mark Canha traded to Athletics

Mark Canha was traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Oakland Athletics on December 11, 2014. In exchange the Rockies received Austin House and cash.

Canha is an OF\3B\1B who played in 2014 at Triple A New Orleans where he hit .303/.384/.505 with 20 HR, 82 RBI, 83 R, 3 SB in 127 games. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the seventh round in 2010 and went to the Rockies in the 2014 Rule 5 draft. Canha will be 26 on February 15.

RHP House split 2014 between Class A Advanced Stockton and Triple A Sacramento. He was 3-4, 3.46 ERA, 79 K, 1.21 WHIP, .232 BAA, 19 SV in 54.2 IP over 46 games at Stockton and 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 3 K, 1.00 WHIP, .143 BAA in 7.0 IP over 4 games at Sacramento. He was originally drafted by the Athletics in the 14th round in 2012. House turned 24 on January 24.
