Anthony Ranaudo traded to Rangers

Anthony Ranaudo was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Texas Rangers on January 27, 2015. In exchange the Red Sox received Robbie Ross Jr.

RHP Ranaudo split 2014 between Triple A Pawtucket and the Red Sox. He was 14-4, 2.61 ERA, 111 K, 1.20 WHIP, .223 BAA in 138.0 IP over 24 games at Pawtucket and 4-3, 4.81 ERA, 15 K, 1.40 WHIP, .260 BAA in 39.1 IP over 7 games with the Red Sox. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox with the 39th pick of the first round in 2010. Ranaudo will be 26 on September 9th.

LHP Ross split 2014 between Triple A Round Rock and the Rangers. He was 5-4, 4.33 ERA, 43 K, 1.36 WHIP, .286 BAA in 60.1 IP over 12 games at Round Rock and 3-6, 6.20 ERA, 51 K, 1.70 WHIP, .319 BAA in 78.1 IP over 27 games with the Rangers. Over three MLB seasons with the Rangers he was 13-8, 3.98 ERA, 156 K, 1.43 WHIP, .275 BAA in 205.2 IP over 150 games. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the second round in 2008. Ross will be 26 on June 24.
