Francisco Cervelli was traded by the New York Yankees to the Pittsburgh Pirates on November 12, 2014. In exchange the Yankees received Justin Wilson.

He originally signed with the Yankees in 2003 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Cervelli will be 29 on March 6th.
LHP Wilson pitched with the Pirates in 2014 as he was 3-4, 4.20 ERA, 61 K, 1.32 WHIP, .220 BAA in 60.0 IP over 70 games. Over three MLB seasons with the Pirates he was 9-5, 2.99 ERA, 127 K, 1.23 WHIP, .216 BAA in 138.1 IP over 136 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the fifth round in 2008. Wilson will be 28 on August 18.
