Antonio Bastardo traded to Pirates

Antonio Bastardo was traded by the Philadelphia Phillies to the Pittsburgh Pirates on December 10, 2014. In exchange the Phillies received Joely Rodriguez. 

LHP Bastardo in 2014 was 5-7, 3.94 ERA, 81 K, 1.20 WHIP, .188 BAA in 64.0 IP over 67 games with the Phillies. Over six MLB seasons with the Phillies he was 20-18, 3.72 ERA, 324 K, 1.21 WHIP, .201 BAA, 11 SV in 259.0 IP over 275 games. He originally signed with the Phillies in 2005 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Bastardo will be 30 on September 21.

LHP Rodriguez pitched in 2014 at Double A Altoona where he was 6-11, 4.84 ERA, 73 K, 1.45 WHIP, .289 BAA, 1 SV in 134.0 IP over 21 games. He originally signed with the Pirates in 2009 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Rodriguez turned 23 on November 14.
