Justin Masterson traded to Cardinals

Justin Masterson was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the St Louis Cardinals on July 30, 2014. In exchange the Indians received James Ramsey.

RHP Masterson was 4-6, 5.51 ERA, 93 K, 1.65 WHIP in 98.0 IP over 19 games with the Indians in 2014. Over seven MLB seasons with the Indians and Red Sox he is 57-69, 4.16 ERA, 932 K, 1.38 WHIP in 1111.0 IP over 231 games. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the second round in 2006 and traded to the Indians in 2009. Masterson turned 29 on March 22.

Ramsey is an outfielder who was at Double A Springfield where he hit .300/.389/.527 with 13 HR, 36 RBI, 47 R, 4 SB in 67 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals with the 23rd pick of the first round in 2012. Ramsey will be 25 on December 19.
