Huston Street traded to Angels

Huston Street was traded by the San Diego Padres to the Los Angeles Angels on July 19, 2014 along with Trevor Gott. In exchange the Padres received Taylor Lindsey, R.J. Alvarez, Jose Rondon and Elliot Morris.

RHP Street was 1-0, 1.09 ERA, 34 K, 0.76 WHIP, 24 SV in 33.0 IP over 33 games with the Padres in 2014. Over his ten season MLB career with the Padres and Athletics he is 35-27, 2.86 ERA, 569 K, 1.02 WHIP, 258 SV in 566.0 IP over 549 games. He was originally drafted by the Athletics with the 40th pick of the first round in 2004. Street will be 31 on August 2nd.

RHP Gott split 2014 between Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore and Double A San Antonio of the Padres. He was 2-4, 3.16 ERA, 31 K, 1.18 WHIP, 16 SV in 31.1 IP over 29 games at Lake Elsinore and was 0-0, 4.63 ERA, 11 K, 1.71 WHIP in 11.2 IP over 10 games at San Antonio. He was originally drafted by the Padres in the sixth round in 2013.

Lindsey is a second baseman who prior to the trade split 2014 between Rookie Orem and Triple A Salt Lake. He hit .200/.200/.400 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 1 game at Orem and .247/.323/.400 with 8 HR, 30 RBI, 50 R, 7 SB in 75 games at Salt Lake. He was originally drafted by the Angels with the 37th pick of the first round in 2010. Lindsey turned 22 on December 2nd.

RHP Alvarez pitched at Double A Arkansas prior to the trade and was 0-0, 0.33 ERA, 38 K, 0.85 WHIP, 1 SV in 27.0 IP over 21 games. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the third round in 2012. Alvarez turned 23 on June 8th.

Rondon is a shortstop who prior to the trade split 2014 between Rookie Arizona and Class A Advanced Inland Empire. He hit .125/.300/.125 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 2 SB in 2 games at Arizona and .327/.362/.418 with 0 HR, 24 RBI, 40 R, 8 SB in 72 games at Inland Empire. He originally signed with the Angels in 2011 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Rondon turned 20 on March 3rd.

RHP Morris prior to the trade split 2014 between Class A Burlington and Class A Advanced Inland Empire. He was 2-1, 2.25 ERA, 44 K, 1.05 WHIP in 40.0 IP over 8 games at Burlington and 3-3, 4.17 ERA, 40 K, 1.43 WHIP in 45.1 IP over 9 games at Inland Empire. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the fourth round in 2013. Morris turned 22 on April 26.
