Kyle Kubitza was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Los Angeles Angels on January 8, 2015 along with Nate Hyatt. in exchange the Braves received Ricardo Sanchez.
Kubitza is a third baseman who played in 2014 at Double A Mississippi where he hit .295/.405/.470 with 8 HR, 55 RBI, 76 R, 21 SB in 132 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the third round in 2011. Kubitza will be 25 on July 15.
RHP Hyatt pitched in 2014 at Class A Advanced Lynchburg where he was 5-3, 2.71 ERA, 73 K, 1.38 WHIP, .246 BAA, 3 SV in 63.0 IP over 37 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the 13th round in 2012. Hyatt will be 25 on September 26.
LHP Sanchez pitched in 2014 at Rookie Arizona where he was 2-2, 3.49 ERA, 43 K, 1.60 WHIP, .258 BAA in 38.2 IP over 12 games. He originally signed with the Angels in 2013 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Sanchez will be 18 on April 11.
