Jimmy Rollins traded to Dodgers

Jimmy Rollins was traded by the Philadelphia Phillies to the Los Angeles Dodgers on December 19, 2014 along with cash. In exchange the Phillies received Tom Windle and Zach Eflin.

Rollins is a shortstop who in 2014 hit .243/.323/.394 with 17 HR, 55 RBI, 78 R, 28 SB in 138 games with the Phillies. Over 15 MLB seasons with the Phillies he hit .267/.327/.424 with 216 HR, 887 RBI, 1325 R, 453 SB in 2090 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the second round in 1996. Rollins turned 36 on November 27.

LHP Windle pitched in 2014 at Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga where he was 12-8, 4.26 ERA, 111 K, 1.37 WHIP, .271 BAA in 139.1 IP over 26 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the second round in 2013. Windle will be 23 on March 10.

RHP Eflin had been traded to the Dodgers the previous day.
