Mark DeRosa retires
Mark DeRosa announced his retirement from playing baseball in November 2013. The 3B\2B\OF had a 16 season MLB career playing with the Braves (1998-2004), Rangers (2005-2006), Cubs (2007-2008), Indians (2009), Cardinals (2009), Giants (2010-2011), Nationals (2012) and Blue Jays (2013). For his MLB career he hit .268/.340/.412 with 100 HR, 494 RBI, 538 R, 23 SB in 1241 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the seventh round in 1996 out of the University of Pennsylvania. DeRosa was 38 when he retired with a birthday on February 26.
