Clayton Kershaw 2013 NL Cy Young

Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2013 National League Cy Young award by the Baseball Writers Association of America. He had 29 first place votes with 207 points total. The rest of the top five were Adam Wainwright of the Cardinals with one first place votes and 86 points, Jose Fernandez of the Marlins with 62 points, Craig Kimbrel of the Braves with 39 points and Matt Harvey of the Mets with 39 points. Others receiving votes were Cliff Lee of the Phillies with 32 points, Jordan Zimmermann of the Nationals with 21 points, Zack Greinke of the Dodgers with 18 points, Madison Bumgarner of the Giants with 3 points and Francisco Liriano of the Pirates with 3 points. 

The LHP was 16-9, 1.83 ERA, 232 K, 0.92 WHIP in 236.0 IP over 33 games with the Dodgers in 2013. Over his six season MLB career he is 77-46, 2.60 ERA, 1206 K, 1.09 WHIP in 1180.0 IP over 184 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers with the seventh pick of the first round in 2006. Kershaw turned 25 on March 19.
