Royce M (Ross) Youngs was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1972 along with Yogi Berra, Joshua Gibson, Lefty Gomez, William Harridge, Sandy Koufax, Buck Leonard and Early Wynn. Youngs was an outfielder with 10 seasons MLB experience playing all with the New York Giants (1917-1926). For his MLB career he hit .322/.399/.441 with 42 HR, 592 RBI, 812 R, 153 SB in 1211 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1923 when he hit .336/.412/.446 with 3 HR, 87 RBI, 121 R, 13 SB in 152 games, 1924 when he hit .356/.441/.521 with 10 HR, 74 RBI, 112 R, 17 SB in 133 games and 1921 when he hit .327/.411/.456 with 3 HR, 102 RBI, 90 R, 21 SB in 141 games.
Youngs led the National League in runs in 1923. He led the NL in doubles in 1919 (31).
Youngs won the World Series Championship with the Giants in 1921 and 1922.
