George (Mule) Suttles was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2006 along with Raymond Brown, Willard Brown, Andy Cooper, Franklin Grant, Pete Hill, Biz Mackey, Effa Manley, Jose Mendez, Alex Pompez, Cum Posey, Louis Santop, Bruce Sutter, Ben Taylor, Cristobal Torriente, Solomon White, JL Wilkinson and Jud Wilson. Suttles was inducted by the Negro League Committee. He was a first baseman who played for New York Bacharach Giants (1921), Birmingham Black Barons (1923-1925), St Louis Stars (1926-1928, 1930-1931), St Louis Giants (1929), Detroit Wolves (1932), Washington Pilots (1932), Chicago American Giants (1933-1935), Newark Eagles (1936-1940, 1942-1944) and New York Black Yankees (1941). While incomplete the stats show in league he hit .327/.385/.571 with 133 HR, 493 RBI, 561 R, 45 SB. He was the Negro League career home run leader.
