Wade Boggs was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2005 along with Ryne Sandberg. Boggs was a third baseman with 18 seasons MLB experience playing with the the Boston Red Sox (1982-1992), New York Yankees (1993-1997) and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1998-1999). For his MLB career he hit .328/.415/.443 with 118 HR, 1014 RBI, 1513 R, 24 SB in 2440 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1987 when he hit .363/.461/.588 with 24 HR, 89 RBI, 108 R, 1 SB in 147 games, 1985 when he hit .368/.450/.478 with 8 HR, 78 RBI, 107 R, 2 SB in 161 games and 1986 when he hit .357/.453/.486 with 8 HR, 71 RBI, 107 R, 0 SB in 149 games.
Boggs was the American League batting champ five times: 1983 (.361), 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988 (.366). He led the AL in doubles in 1988 (45) and 1989 (51). He led the AL in runs in 1988 (128) and 1989 (113).
He was an All Star 12 times (1985-1996). He won two Gold Gloves (1994-1995). Boggs won the World Series Championship with the Yankees in 1996.
