Thomas C Lasorda was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1997 along with Nellie Fox, Phil Niekro and Willie Wells. Lasorda was a LHP with three seasons MLB experience pitching with the Brooklyn Dodgers (1954-1955) and Kansas City Athletics (1956). For his MLB career he was 0-4 with a 6.48 ERA, 37 K, 1.87 WHIP, 1 SV in 58.1 IP over 26 games.
It was his managerial career that warranted his induction to the Hall of Fame. He was manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1976-1996) with a 1599-1439 record. His 1599 career wins ranks 18th all time. He was the National League Manager of the Year in 1983 and 1988. Lasorda won the World Series Championship with the Dodgers in 1981 and 1988.
