Ryne Sandberg was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2005 along with Wade Boggs. Sandberg was a 2B\3B with 16 seasons MLB experience playing all with the Chicago Cubs (1981-1994, 1996-1997). For his MLB career he hit .285/.344/.452 with 282 HR, 1061 RBI, 1318 R, 344 SB in 2164 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1990 when he hit .306/.354/.559 with 40 HR, 100 RBI, 116 R, 25 SB in 155 games, 1991 when he hit .291/.379/.485 with 26 HR, 100 RBI, 104 R, 22 SB in 158 games and 1984 when he hit .314/.367/.520 with 19 HR, 84 RBI, 114 R, 32 SB in 156 games.
Sandberg led the National League in triples in 1984 (19). He led the NL in home runs in 1990. He led the NL in runs in 1984, 1989 (104) and 1990.
He was an All Star 10 times (1984-1993). He won nine Gold Gloves (1983-1991). Sandberg was the National League MVP in 1984.
