Robin R Yount was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1999 along with George Brett, Orlando Cepeda, Nestor Chylak, Nolan Ryan, Frank Selee and Smokey Joe Williams. Yount was SS\OF with 20 seasons MLB experience playing all with the Milwaukee Brewers (1974-1993). For his MLB career he hit .285/.342/.430 with 251 HR, 1406 RBI, 1632 R, 271 SB in 2856 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1982 when he hit .331/.379/.578 with 29 HR, 114 RBI, 129 R, 14 SB in 156 games, 1989 when he hit .318/.384/.511 with 21 HR, 103 RBI, 101 R, 19 SB in 160 games and 1987 when he hit .312/.384/.479 with 21 HR, 103 RBI, 99 R, 19 SB in 158 games.
Yount led the American League in doubles in 1980 (49) and 1982 (46). He led the AL in triples in 1983 (10) and 1988 (11).
He was an All Star three times (1980, 1982, 1983). He won a Gold Glove in 1982. His 3142 career hits ranks 17th all time. Yount was the American League MVP in 1982 and 1989.
