Harold H (Pee Wee) Reese was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1984 along with Luis Aparicio, Don Drysdale, Richard Ferrell and Harmon Killebrew. Reese was a SS\3B with 16 seasons MLB experience playing with the Brooklyn Dodgers (1940-1942, 1946-1957) and Los Angeles Dodgers (1958). He missed the 1943-1945 seasons serving in the United States Navy during World War II. For his MLB career he hit .269/.366/.377 with 126 HR, 885 RBI, 1338 R, 232 SB in 2166 games.
I believe his three best seasons were 1949 when he hit .279/.396/.410 with 16 HR, 73 RBI, 132 R, 26 SB in 155 games, 1948 when he hit .274/.363/.390 with 9 HR, 75 RBI, 96 R, 25 SB in 151 games and 1953 when he hit .271/.374/420 with 13 HR, 61 RBI, 108 R, 22 SB in 140 games.
Reese led the National League in steals in 1952 (30). He led the NL in runs in 1949.
He was an All Star ten times (1942, 1946-1954). Reese twice won the World Series Championship with the Dodgers in 1955 and 1959.
