Leo Durocher MLB Hall of Fame 1994

Leo Durocher was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1994 along with Steve Carlton and Phil Rizzuto. Durocher was a SS\2B with 16 seasons MLB experience playing with the New York Yankees (1925, 1928-1929), Cincinnati Reds (1930-1933), St Louis Cardinals (1933-1937) and Brooklyn Dodgers (1938-1941, 1943, 1945). For his MLB career he hit .247/.299/.320 with 24 HR, 567 RBI, 575 R, 31 SB in 1637 games. He was an All Star three times (1936, 1938, 1940). Durocher won the World Series Championship with the Yankees in 1928 and the Cardinals in 1934).

However it was his career as a manager that warranted his induction into the Hall of Fame. He was manager for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1939-1946, 1948) with a 738-565 record, the New York Giants (1948-1955) with a 637-523 record, the Chicago Cubs (1966-1972) with a 535-526 record and the Houston Astros (1972-1973) with a 98-95 record. His 2008 career wins ranks 10th all time. Durocher won the World Series Championship with the Giants in 1954.
