Don Sutton MLB Hall of Fame 1998

Donald H Sutton was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1998 along with George Davis, Larry Doby, Lee MacPhail and Bullet Rogan. Sutton was a RHP with 23 seasons MLB experience pitching with the Los Angeles Dodgers (1966-1980, 1988), Houston Astros (1981-1982), Milwaukee Brewers (1982-1984), Oakland Athletics (1985) and California Angels (1985-1987). For his MLB career he was 324-256 with 3.26 ERA, 3574 K, 1.14 WHIP, 5 SV, 178 complete games, 58 shut outs in 5282.1 IP over 774 games. 

I believe his three best seasons were 1976 when he was 21-10 with a 3.06 ERA, 161 K, 1.17 WHIP, 15 complete games, 4 shut outs in 267.2 IP over 35 games, 1972 when he was 19-9 with a 2.08 ERA, 207 K, 0.91 WHIP, 18 complete games, 9 shut outs in 272.2 IP over 33 games and 1974 when he was 19-9 with a 3.23 ERA, 179 K, 1.16 WHIP, 10 complete games, 5 shut outs in 276.0 IP over 40 games. 

Sutton led the National League in ERA in 1980 (2.20). 

He was an All Star four times (1972-1973, 1975, 1977).
