Carlton Fisk MLB Hall of Fame 2000

Carlton E Fisk was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2000 along with Sparky Anderson, Bid McPhee, Tony Perez and Turkey Stearnes. Fisk was a catcher with 24 seasons MLB experience playing for the Boston Red Sox (1969, 1971-1980) and Chicago White Sox (1981-1993). For his MLB career he hit .269/.341/.457 with 376 RBI, 1330 RBI, 1276 R, 128 SB in 2499 games. He threw out 34% of those that attempted to steal on him. 

I believe his three best seasons were 1977 when he hit .315/.402/.521 with 26 HR, 102 RBI, 106 R, 7 SB in 152 games, 1978 when he hit .284/.366/.475 with 20 HR, 88 RBI, 94 R, 7 SB in 157 games and 1983 when he hit .289/.355/.518 with 26 HR, 86 RBI, 85 R, 9 SB in 138 games. 

Fisk was the American League Rookie of the Year in 1972 when he hit .293/.370/.538 with 22 HR, 61 RBI, 74 R, 5 SB in 131 games.

Fisk led the American League in triples in 1972 (9).

He was an All Star 11 times (1972-1974, 1976-1978, 1980-1982, 1985, 1991). He won a Gold Glove in 1972.
